How happy am I?

I'm packing and I thought that I might try some old clothes to see if they fit. Clothes from my super skinny time. I do not look super skinny anymore, neither do I weigh as little. But my God... they fit!



This is a skirt that I love, but have never worn! It fits! :D (Ignore the mess... I'm packing and checking everything I have in my closet...)



Remember this dress? It was once a us size 8 then I had to take it in a lot to maybe a size 2. FITS LIKE A GLOVE! Awesome because it's my favorite one!

I forgot how awesome a diet coke tastes! I used to drink them alot but stopped for some reason. It's obviously not super healthy, though I think it's alot better than regular coke with sugar. Who needs that much sugar? I bought a few today because I want to cut my cravings. Some say that diet coke (or any artificial sugar) starts cravings. I disagree. They do help me! I will not have as much carbs today as usual because I feel like a balloon like I said in my previous post. I guess it's because I'm leaving tonight and some higher power wants to piss me off by making me look and feel like this. I'm going to win this and leave the balloon look behind!

Woke up at 8 am and will head out for a long powerwalk in an hour. 9 km. I'm going away tomorrow so I will walk to Olivia, give her a huge hug and then walk back. I really do need a long PW, it feels like I've gained 10 pounds last week (though I haven't) looks like that too... GREAT! I'm going away and I look like a balloon... Then I have to start packing!

Glad you feel motivated to start working out again! When you make a routine out of it, you'll never want to quit!
I go for powerwalks basically every day of the year, except if I'm away somewhere or if I'm really ill. I walk about 6.8 km, 60-70 minutes depending on the weather and my mood. If you take a walk in the morning before breakfast you'll burn fat because there's probably no or little carbs in your body. When you don't have stored carbs, your body needs to burn fat to give you energy. Go out for a one hour powerwalk every morning and I bet you'll lose one dress size in a month! (Obviously if you don't eat more than normal).

Before I lost weight I could sleep forever. As soon as I closed my eyes I fell asleep. Why? Because I ate too much carbs and didn't workout at all. Carbs are a serious sleeping pill! If I now eat carbs too late, I can sleep for a very long time and wake up even more tired. I eat most of my carbs for breakfast, a little less for lunch and almost nothing for dinner. I do not need more than 6 hours of sleep to feel good. You say that you feel tired all the time, try to cut down on some carbs and you'll get more energy and better sleep. You'll probably lose some weight as well.

My sugarcravings are basically non excising. I eat balanced and enough calories to function and keep my weight. When you get all the nurture you need from healthy food, you wont crave crap. The reason for craving sugar might be a lack of minerals, also a lack of energy. So what your body is trying to say is "Hey, I'm tired, give me some sugar so I get energized quickly!". But after a short while you'll be tired again, right? Get rid of your bad habits by changing your diet!

LCHF - Good or bad?

Hej Stephanie! Innan jag fick hjälp av dig med kost och träning så var jag inne på det här med LCHF.. Hur fungerar det egentligen? Är det bra? Förstår mig inte på den för den säger helt emot det du förespråkar (som faktiskt fungerar!!).. Här skriver fitnessguru att man ska undvika gröt, äta stora mängder grädde/hög fetthalt, fett smör, bea såser och allt vad det är. Tror du det funkar, är det inte dåligt för kroppen att köra den metoden?

LCHF - Low Carb High Fat.

This is a diet which I don't really know what to think of. You're supposed to eat food such as fat meat, full fat dairy, mayonnaise and skip all carbs, or go down to a total of 5% carbs a day.
Now first of all, I get kinda sick of thinking about eating fat all day, so I'd probably lose weight because of that... though I wouldn't feel good. Another thing is that the brain can not function properly without carbs. When you start a LCHF diet, your brain will slow down a lot for a while until your body adjusts to fat and becomes in an ketosis state (google it if you don't know). What happens then is that your body and brain will start using ketone to function. You'll also smell kinda bad the first days. Your breath will not be pretty.
What also is said is that you shouldn't count calories, eat until your full! Well that sounds great doesn't it? Today people are eating a lot faster because of out busy lifestyle. It takes 20 minutes for your brain to know when your full. By then I bet you stuffed yourself with way to many calories. (Fat - 9 calories per gram). They also say that humans have ONLY been eating carbs the last 5 - 10 000 years, so we're not made for that? There's one word for it - evolution.
Look at what humans have done today, and b.c (before carbs). Hasn't evolution been quite awesome? We do not live in caves anymore, we do not have to hunt for our own food. We need to use our brain to survive, for which we need carbs.

I believe in fat, I sure do! Healthy fat! Too much fat from animals will surely kill us. That's what people will say in the next 5 - 10 000 years. They will say "Humans that lived hundreds or thousands of years ago ate carbs and mastered the world, now we eat animal fat and dairy and die when we are 40-50 years old" while they are dumb because lack of carbs.

The peanutbutter diet I posted a while ago does not have unhealthy fat. However, it's always ideal to live a healthy lifestyle, eat balanced meals and exercise. Don't jump on fad diets, It will not be good for you in a long term perspective.

You have the control of your own actions!

I have just one question.. I decided to really loose weight now, so these last couple of days I've really tried to eat healthy and I've taken like 2-3 powerwalks every day. But then today I got really upset over something and I ran to the store and bought a M&M bag and .. I'm ashamed to say it ... I ate it all up. The whole bag... So now I feel like a big failure, and I feel worthless, cause this is how it goes every single time I try to loose weight... How do I get back on track, and STAY on that track?

This is something I hear often, it has also happened to me several times when I tried losing weight in my teens.
I have no idea what you eat when you diet, therefor it's hard for me to help you with this. If you eat balanced meals, protein, carbs and fat, you wont be as tempted to eat something sugary, or in this situation, comforting.

However, if you do eat balanced, eat enough calories for your body and brain to function, then this is something that's going on inside of you. Why did you get upset? How did this happen? How were you feeling before and after? Hungry? Full?

You are not alone. Many of us are brought up with food as something that is supposed to give us pleasure. Something that will make us happy and sociable. Let me give you a personal example. I've been brought up with food all around me all the time. I could have whatever I wanted, whenever. Though I didn't always want cakes or candy. It was given to me and I gladly ate it. Whenever I got upset for something, food was given to me to calm me down. When I was happy, there food was again. When my relatives and I got together, there was tons of food which we had to eat up, wheater we wanted or not. After these "bingeing parties" if I may call them so, we all felt numb but happy because we were together. So, what I want to say is that what we put inside of us is sometimes in the reason to achieve this drug like state.

You got upset about something and wanted to numb the feeling. I bet you felt fine after eating some chocolate candy, but how did you feel after? Bet you weren't numb... Bet you got even more upset. Now you were upset at yourself for doing what you did, right?

This is something we must "rehab" away, learn to get rid of. I know like sometimes some might be happy and think "Ah, what difference does it make if I eat some crap now? I feel good!". And then....? If you're on a diet, fighting for a goal. Don't let your inner feelings ruin it. Turn them around and let them motivate you instead.

Let me give you another example of what I do;
I am only human so I'm not constantly happy which I bet you all think. Some days I just want to hide under the covers with a huge pint of ice cream. Before I go to the store and get one, I go through these steps, I ask myself:
  • Why do I feel like having chocolate/candy/ice cream etc? Do take time and think about this. Try to find a serious reason for it.
  • Why should I let the situation that made me upset control what I eat? I have the control!
  • What can I do to feel better besides numbing myself with legal drugs? (food)
  • What things in my life makes me happy that I can do instead? For me it's listening to music, taking a walk, singing, dancing (Doesn't matter that I suck, it still makes me happy).
You first have to deal with the reason for what you're feeling. Fix it and move on with your healthy lifestyle.
Once in a while it's fine to have some candy or whatever you want. Though you have to make sure it's because you want it, not because of something that happened, good or bad.

When this happens, take a look at yourself in the mirror with a big smile, tell you're self that you're way too awesome to get in a self-destructive behavior! You have the control!

I went for a run, it was awesome as it always is. I was smiling, flying and loving it! When I got back home I started stretching outside... Then I look up and there's my retard neighbor, staring at me. One hand caressing his chin, and the other arm moving... Whatever he did is something I do not want to think about. When I first saw him I wanted to run up and kick him wherever his hand was. But I ran inside... Now I want to vomit... So disgusting...

I think I have a picture of him smoking, I'll see if I can fins it then I'll post it!

See... Smokers are disgusting! Told you so!

Ah, someone just made me happy! Just with a phone call and a lovely voice. It's amazing how you can be angry, tired, grumpy etc. Then it all feels better in a second. Kinda cool ;)


Damn you smokers!

I went out for a powerwalk like I do every morning. I try to walk where there's as little traffic as possible (the park).
I listen to my iPod, breath in the fresh air, look at the beauty nature gives us... and so on. Then some IDIOT smoker walks ahead of me, smoking this cancer stick and ruins my utopia. When the smoke hit my face I started gagging, literally gagging! I coughed and had to run away from this disgusting smell to get back to my utopia.
I gave him a look like "ARE YOU F*CKING STUPID? YES YOU ARE!" and he looked at me like I had escaped from the mental institution.

Now, don't go tell me that "I can't call smokers stupid" or "You smoked yourself!" or "He smoked outside, why do you bother?".

First one - smokers are stupid! Why do you want to kill yourself and smell like you already died? Also, why do you want to pay to die younger? It's going to cost you more when you're at the hospital with lung cancer.
Second one - Yes I did smoke. I loved it! The cigarette was my "friend" until I woke up and realized how damn retarded I was. The cigarette is trying to kill you, would you hang around with someone that wants you dead?
Third - It doesn't matter if you smoke at home, in a smoking cube, outside or wherever. It STINKS! It's ugly and people who see you smoking will probably think less of you. Not to mention kissing a smoker.... There is nothing more disgusting than this! I kissed a smoker once and left right after. I felt nauseous and really wanted to vomit. The strongest gum in the world wouldn't fix it. I will never, ever date a smoker!

Get your fix from something else, something that's good for you! I get my fix from walking and running, those are stronger than any cigarette in the world!

When I finished the highlights, I looked at my eyebrows and thought like.. "Ah, let's bleach them too!" So I did, and when I got out of the shower I got a little chocked, my eyes look so much bigger! You might not notice it as much as I do because I see myself without make-up on all the time. Ah anyway, it's going to look lighter when my hair dries. You'll see tomorrow!

I've been missing running so much, so, so much! Though I have to be smart and don't go nuts with it yet. Start of slow to build my strength up again. Just about 7 km today in 35 minutes (some traffic lights on my route!). I want to run for longer, and faster! Ah, some day I will!

Guys, If you haven't tried running, DO IT! It will suck at first, but after a while you'll get addicted to it, I PROMISE!

I have another happy day, yaaay! :D When I tried falling asleep last night I though about running. I wanted to run right then, run, run, run until my legs would fall off. So I decided to give it a try today. During my powerwalk I had the mission of checking the streets, where I could run and so on. There's still some ice on the pavement though I hope the temperature will go up a little before 3 pm when I plan to have my run. It's Saturday, the sun is shining, birds are starting to sing... What day would be more perfect than this for running? Ah, guys I'm so excited, you have no idea. I hope that my knees wont start hurting again, because then I have to stop and only walk for a while again.

Running gives me such a great rush. I want my heart to beat faster, I want my legs to feel like they could run forever! (Like they did in 2009 when I ran like 150 km a week, yes that's true, 150 km every week) It's obviously because of this I had to stop. After I did hurt my knees I could barely walk. Never been more sad about anything :(

I want to go now.... now... NOW! Just have to let my oatmeal breakfast rest, do some stuff at home then I'm OUT!

I love tea! I believe I drink 3-5 cups a day! I drink coffee like once a month. Tea every day! It's good for you :)
I'm on my second one now... mmmm.....

Hot drinks can curb your appetite. So have a cup if you have to deal with some unwanted hunger during a diet. (No sugar or milk added, obviously!)

I don't know whats going on with me today but I woke up really happy. Felt happiness throughout every part of my body! The funny thing is that I still feel great! Like, really, really great! I'm singing (though my voice isn't pretty), I'm dancing, I'm smiling more than usual and I kept on doing this while I paid a huge bill for something I didn't want to (this bill has been giving me panic attacks whenever I thought about it, now it was no big deal). I have been so happy today that I felt like I should look like my mood, a little bit lighter on the outside. So I'll do some blonde highlights in my hair after a powerwalk. I'm smiling while I type this... WHAT'S GOING ON?

Dry scrub



Since I got a lot of comments about my scrubbing, I'll dedicate a post to it.
Every morning when I wake up, I start with scrubbing my skin with scrubbing gloves. I've done it for about a month and I've noticed some difference. My skin looks more even, skin color is prettier and healthier. I'm less bloated and feel tighter.
  • Toxins that are in your body will get out through your blood and then through your lymphatic.
  • Do this first thing in the morning, on dry skin ONLY!
  • Start with your feet and legs then arms, stomach and back.
  • Brush with circular motion towards your heart.
  • Do this for 3 months then cut down to twice a week.

5 minutes of dry scrubbing can be as effective as 30 minutes physical workout for cleansing your body!

If I would have any cellulite before, they would all be gone by now. I had lots of them when I was younger, now I don't have a single one. Eat healthy, workout, scrub your skin and you'll lose them too!

Last time I tanned now for a while. Otherwise I'd look like a grandmother when I'm 30. But I love it... Warm and relaxing... mmm...

Hunger, where did you go?

I woke up at 8 am, did some stuff then I felt a little strange. I sat in my couch, felt like I was missing something. Some kind of feeling was gone. I was happy, awake, satisfied though I felt a little numb in some way. Then I got it, I was not hungry! Haha! I'm always hungry when I wake up, that's how it should be. I don't know why, I didn't overeat yesterday... Maybe it's because I had wine during saturday? Maybe because I was hungry last night after my last meal and went to bed with hunger. Haha oh well... Hunger came during my powerwalk, so I'm back to "normal" now. Going to have some oatmeal for breakfast, yum yum!

Taking the day off

I fell asleep at 4 am on my couch with my Mac next to me. What's up with me falling asleep on the couch? Anyway, woke up at 12(!), feeling great because I basically didn't drink anything. When I'm out, I never drink anything with sugar, and all they had last night was drinks with sugar, soda with sugar etc. People aren't healthy here...
Oh well, just had breakfast and decided to take the day off. No work, no workout, no nothing. Just going to meet the love of my life later (my dad). Gosh I feel stressed already... Need to do something!!!

Friday night is coming to an end. My work is done and I'll clean my face and have a foot bath then jump right into bed. Tomorrow will start with a powerwalk as always, then I have a few things to take care of but at 7 pm and after I'll just relax and have fun! Two pretty girls are coming over then we'll have a night out, can't wait!

I gained weight!

I am dead sure that it's not fat, that would be totally impossible because I eat very "clean" and never ever overeat!
So this is all muscle and some water I guess. Wow, I've been lifting weights for about a month now and gained like 2-3 kg. I don't like the 60's, I want to stay in the 50's! haha... I'll see how it looks a week from now, If I keep on gaining I'll do some extra cardio and change my diet so I'll see the contours of my "new muscles"... haha my God... Never thought I would put on muscle weight.



I'll hopefully be back in the 50's by next week! Dear God, don't make me huge!

Slow start... fell asleep on my couch and woke up with business papers all over the place and over myself. So now I have to put them in order again... uhuuu...

What a great day already! Woke up to a phone call with someone who's far away, yet so close. Then I started playing John Mayer and will now drink a cup of lemon and ginger tea. I'll be on my powerwalk right after, then my day gets busy. 

I love the mornings. I love waking up a little earlier, so I can chill for a while then start my day. I love having routines. Like what I do every morning for example, I wake up, drybrush my skin (this for waking your skin up and helping it get smooth). I do my abworkout (I'm gonna get those abs, just wait!), have a cup of tea, go for a powerwalk then have breakfast.

mmm I really do enjoy this morning!

Get thin and STAY THIN! - Lunch

As you requested, here's my lunch!



As you can see, it's a huge meal but does only contain 500 calories. It doesn't take long to make, it tastes good, it's "clean", healthy and will leave you feeling awesome! You know like normally after a huge meal you'll just feel tired and want to rest, not after this. Your body will thank you for the nurture by giving you energy.

So, let me give you the numbers:
175 g canned tuna (be careful when you open it, otherwise you'll have "tunajuice" all over yourself like I had, then you'll scream EEEEEEUWWWWW all the way to the shower)
70 g brown rice
60 g iceberg lettuce
60 g cucumber
20 g red onion

30 g white wine vinegar (love, love, LOVE this!)
6 g oliveoil

500 very healthy calories!

Imagine eating this 4 times daily to reach an "average female" calorie intake. You wouldn't be able to eat that much, your stomach would explode. That's the secret to becoming thin and STAYING THIN!

Before I post you my lunch I want to give you an AWESOME tip! There is a seed called "Psyllium". When this seed gets in contact with liquid, they expand and create a gel-like shell around them. If you mix one tablespoon psyllium seeds in a glass of water before your meals and drink it you'll feel A LOT fuller and wont eat as much. They are also great if you're constipated. Another great thing is that they do not contain any calories at all because they can not be absorbed by the small intestine.

8 Hours!

8 hours of sleep!!!! Wow! Though I do feel really tired now, huh?
I'm starting my day with some music and a cup of tea with lemon and ginger. It detoxifies your body, is very healthy and tastes great! Flush out everything bad in your body, why should we keep it?



My favorie tea brand! Yogi tea. Try it and you'll never want anything else.



Mmmm... Michael, I have always loved your music! Like I've told you guys once, twice or a couple times before, I would kill to see him live. He was performing in Las Vegas when I was there, I jumped with happines and really wanted to go... Though we didn't....... Then I was pissed! Haha

Mmmm... what a great day! The sun is shining :)
Powerwalk is done, some work is done. I'll head out to have a rest in a tanning bed. I got 3 hours and 30 minutes of sleep last night (or this morning to be correct) so it would be nice to fall asleep while tanning.




Tan, tan, tan + abs, abs, abs.... GIVE ME! Though tanning is not good for you. You'll look like your grandmother when you're 30. (Botox!)



I didn't fall asleep... There will be some food in my tummy in a few. Cod, rice, cabbage, carrots, cucumber, vinegar and oliveoil. Mmmmm.... and then a long nap!

I just got up. In my couch singing a little. Will head out for a powerwalk in an hour. The sun is shining :)

6 am, still awake! I have 3 hours and 30 minutes of sleep ahead of me before I need to be up! I'm also getting damn hungry. My stomach wants breakfast... haha... it has to wait 6 more hours. Hmm typing that made me even hungrier.

So another tip to you, don't focus on hunger, it will grow bigger!

Lost and found - neighbor, man and a remote control!

What a bizarre day already. It started with a killer powerwalk, so much snow that I wanted to lay down and rest(!) because I got exhausted, like when do I want to rest? Then I went home to work and wait for a guy to buy my treadmill because I don't use it... My apartment is not a gym... Then my neighbor or someone opened my door and walked right in... She excused herself and left, while I was sitting in my couch, just staring at her with my mouth open. Then a friend came outside my balcony to pick up some stuff and leave some for me, then she texted me "I lost my remote control somewhere around your place, can you see if you find it?" I thought that she was joking, a tv remote control... She wasn't joking! I went out to look for it then a huge truck came by to clear the street from snow. Then the guy who wanted to buy my treadmill got lost and I had to look for him and the tv remote control. I found the guy, got rid of my treadmill and the remote control is found.
I looked like an idiot in the snow, wearing uggs and PJ's, looking for a man and the remote... Haha well all's well that ends well, right?


Transformation into a snowman



Hmm... The powerwalk will be a little harder this morning. It's snowing like crazy which we can't see in the picture. I will become a snowman after a few minutes. But I'll do it!

Haha this is the child friendly version, couldn't find the other one on youtube. Honestly, like these guys would actually "make love"... come on. This song will be with me during my powerwalk and gym session tomorrow!

I fell asleep for an hour earlier this evening, or yesterday to be correct. So now I'm obviously not tired.
Anyway, going to listen to this song some more and then go to bed with a book.

From one thing to another - I'm trying to create some abs. I can feel them, I see them in the morning when I wake up. But I kinda want them to be there all the time.




If there's an "Ab-God", please let there be some abs on this stomach when I wake up tomorrow and let them stay there, pretty pleeeease!

Powerwalk done. I'm listening to some music, drinking a glass of B vitamin to start my day!

Meet my man



Last night I stayed up until 6 am and woke up 9:30. I often don't need more than 6 hours of sleep because of what I eat. Though I didn't get more than 3 h and 30 min last night I haven't been tired at all. It's now 3 am and I will probably go to sleep in an hour. I just feel that life is too awesome to sleep away. Like... what if you miss something while you're sleeping? Ah, I have so many things I want to do this year. 2011 will be so damn good! So freaking good!

Now I'll cuddle some with my "man"...

New Years Eve

New years eve, what do you think I did? Did I go to a fabulous party somewhere? Did I drink champagne?

Hm... not really.

During the day on December 31st, I felt all of the feelings I had during 2010, not good ones. It's been the worst year so far so I basically decided to stay at home, all alone, at new years eve. I wanted to have a fresh start to an amazing new year. And guess what... I feel so great and the beginning of 2011 couldn't be better! It's awesome already! Better than I could ever imagine...

Well anyway. My new years resolution is to go all in with everything and never regret or look back. Every great opportunity that comes along will be taken. I can not wait to see what's in store for me this year!

And oh, listen to this song... It's great! Kinda different from what I've written but I love it and just had to share!
